Character of the Week (MS) – November 28

Jah-wann Galimore – 8th Grade
Nominated by Colonel Pam Grant

I would like to nominate Jah-wann Galimore for Character of the Month. He is a Hurricane Katrina evacuee. He knows firsthand the devastation left behind. Jah-wann is working with Hands on Milledgeville to sponsor a book drive for the McDonald City Park Academy in New Orleans. This new charter school was one of the first schools to open after Hurricane Katrina and is in desperate need of kindergarten-8th grade books. Jah-wann has exhibited the character trait of inspiration by heading up this book drive and motivating his fellow students to bring in books so that McDonald City Park can have a library for its students.
