Caroline Hooks – (CotW) Courage

Georgia Military College Prep School recognizes Caroline Hooks for earning the Character of the Week Award in demonstrating the virtue of Courage. “I would like to nominate Cadet SSG Caroline Hooks for Character of the Week for the virtue “Courage”. Alan Cohen said “It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.” Our Real Drill Team Squad Leader, Cadet SSG Caroline Hooks is a courageous squad leader, with a passion for success and concern for her subordinates. She uses fear as fuel to push herself harder to meet the challenge head on. Over the last 6 weeks, she has placed in the top 3 in Region Drill Meet and 1st place in the Female Individual Exhibition Category for the Georgia State Drill Meet in a highly competitive category. Cadet SSG Caroline Hooks is a GMC Prep School record setter. She understands that the important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become…A job well done!” Nominated on April 12, 2010 by SFC Van Rutledge Instructor (and so much more) GMC Prep JROTC Real Drill Team Coach
