Bulldogs ranked No. 5 in NJCAA Football Preseason Poll

Georgia Military College is ranked No. 5 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) football preseason poll as the 2014 season draws closer. GMC, which went 11-1 and played for the national championship in 2013, received 160 points in the voting to secure a top-five spot in the first poll of 2014. East Mississippi Community College, the 2013 national champion after a 52-32 win over GMC in the Mississippi Bowl, was selected for the No. 1 position in the poll with 200 points as the Lions seek their third title in the last four years. Rounding out the top five included No. 2 Iowa Western Community College, No. 3 Copiah-Lincoln Community College (Miss.), No. 4 Trinity Valley Community College (Texas) and No. 5 GMC. Georgia Military College opens the 2014 season on August 23 at No. 8 Navarro College (Texas) in a 2 p.m. ET kickoff.
