Brown Attends Leadership Institute

Brenda S. Brown, Community Service Coordinator at Georgia Miltary College, and Teresa Taylor, Program Coordinator at Georgia College and State University, attended the Cancer Control Leadership Institute on Saturday, August 7, 2004 in Albany, Georgia. The day-long seminar was sponsored by the American Cancer Society, South Atlantic Division, and featured training seminars about Volunteerism, Defusing Colon Cancer, Rural Health Initiatives, and the Road to Recovery Training. Albany Technical College hosted the event.

Following the sessions, Brooke Edenfield, the reigning Miss Albany, presented the yearly Volunteer Recognition Awards. Teresa Taylor was presented with the Cancer Control Sponsorship Award.

Brenda S. Brown is the President of the Baldwin County Unit and Teresa Taylor is the Vice President of the Baldwin County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
