Kevin Kotrick Elected Vice President of GA National Honor Society

Kevin Kotrick, a junior at Georgia Military College Prep School, was recently elected to serve as vice president of the Georgia National Honor Society (GANHS) State Board. Kevin was elected during the GANHS State Convention held April 18-20 in Jekyll Island. As GANHS vice president, Kevin will help to plan and host the state convention in April 2011, organizing all the ice breakers, the games, and helping with the theme. Kevin Kotrick is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Kevin M. Kotrick, Sr. of Milledgeville. Kevin is a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. He also serves as a media representative for the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society. Kevin was the drum major for the GMC marching band during the 2009-2010 school year. He is a member of the concert band, symphonic band, and jazz band. Also, for two years now, he has been a member of the District XI Honor Band. Kevin has been on the Principal’s List and Honor Roll for all of his high school years thus far and maintains perfect attendance. He has received the Distinguished Order of the Servant Leader Award for completing one hundred hours of community service in one year. He has been a member of the Literary Team for three years and Drama Club team for six years. He has also been found performing with the Milledgeville Players. Kevin is a member of the Presidential Classroom, with whom he attended the 2009 inauguration of President Barack Obama. Kevin enjoys being a part of the youth group and praise team at Hardwick Baptist Church. After his graduation in May 2011, Kevin plans to attend either Furman University or the College of Charleston and major in Biology or Chemistry.
