Joshua Cotton – JC Character of the Week
Georgia Military College Junior College Character of the Week -Joshua Cotton “I would like to submit for consideration Mr. Joshua Cotton, a student in one of my MAT 106 classes, for the Character of the Week nomination. While math is a subject that is frustrating for many, Mr. Cotton approaches each day in class with a determination for learning. He is always eager to pay attention and also to offer commentary in class discussions; his upbeat demeanor more than compensates for the apathy that emanates from a minority of the students. His persistence is further demonstrated by the time that he spends almost daily working with the tutors or, on occasion, with me in my office. He is always affirmative in his response to my daily query: “Are you happy to be here?” When he says “yes, sir” I believe him. I truly think that he comes to class desiring to learn – and with the proper attitude. This is a great character trait to possess.” Blair Dietrich
