Voter Registration Drive Deemed Successful
(Milledgeville, GA) October 19, 2004 – GMC’s voter registration drive began on Super Tuesday, August 31, and during the past several weeks Mrs. Brenda Brown, GMC Coordinator of Community Service and Baldwin County Deputy Registrar, has visited high school and college classrooms to offer the students an opportunity to register to vote. All of the registration forms were turned into the Baldwin County Courthouse in time to be processed so that the new, eligible voters can vote in the November election. Thanks to Mrs. Brown’s efforts and GMC students recognizing the importance of participating in the electoral process, four high school students registered, 59 junior college students registered, and five students made changes of name or address.
