“Round Up!” at the Bookstore

The Georgia Military College Foundation has partnered with the GMC Bookstore to launch a new program entitled, “Round Up!”

Every bookstore customer is now asked if they would like to participate in the program.  By agreeing, the customer authorizes the bookstore to round up their purchase total (after tax) to the next dollar, with the difference benefiting the general scholarship fund for the Milledgeville Campus.  In turn, they will receive a “Round Up!” sticker to wear in support of the initiative.

This is a simple yet impactful way to make a difference in the lives of our students.  Nearly 85% of GMC’s junior college students require some sort of financial assistance to realize their dream of higher education.

Shannon New-Diaz, President of the GMC Alumni Association, was the first participant in the program and remarked, “If everyone donates a few cents with each bookstore purchase, we will add significantly to the amount of scholarship money we are able to award to deserving students.”
