In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we know many students are facing tough challenges. Georgia Military College is here for you, and we are doing everything we can to ensure no one is left behind. We have plans to provide extensions and support for those affected with the goal of completing the term. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we’ll be flexible and supportive as we move forward. As Quarter 1 ends, we remain committed to your success, so please check here regularly for updates as we monitor recovery efforts. For those who cannot make it to campus, GMC will make every effort to work with you individually. Additionally, we are closely monitoring the development and potential impact of Hurricane Milton. At this time, the storm’s path is being tracked carefully, and there is no immediate cause for alarm in our area. However, we want to ensure that you are prepared and informed in case the situation changes. Your safety is our top priority, and we will communicate any necessary actions promptly on our website, through email, text, and social media as necessary. Learn More

Remember Our Fallen – One Wreath At A Time

Remember Our Fallen – One Wreath At A Time

The Raider team from GMC Prep School will be conducting a sponsored ruck march to purchase wreaths for the Georgia War Veterans Memorial Cemetery (GWVMC).  The aim is to raise enough money so that every grave at our Milledgeville cemetery (1,900 total) will have a wreath on National Wreaths Across America Day on December 13, 2014.

All money raised by the Raider team will be used to purchase wreaths from Wreaths Across America (WAA).  WAA is a national nonprofit organization whose mission – Remember, Honor and Teach – is a carried out each year in part through the laying of wreaths on National Wreaths Across America Day.

Each member of the Raider team will take part in the Veterans Day ceremonies at the War Veterans Home before making their march to the Georgia War Veterans Memorial Cemetery and back to GMC.  On December 13th, our team will participate in the wreath-laying ceremony at GWVMC.

The GMC Prep School Raider team is a group of 40 male and female high school students that competes state wide in JROTC Raider events.  Modeled after the Rangers of the United States Army, JROTC Raider program focuses on physical fitness, endurance, and building team work and leadership skills.
