Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The 129th Corps of Cadets at Georgia Military College will honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a command retreat at 3:10 PM on Wednesday, January 16, and a parade at 2:30 PM, on Friday, January 18, 2008. Junior college and prep school cadets will march on Grant Parade to pay tribute to the life and teachings of the civil rights leader and his great accomplishments of promoting equality and justice for all.

The guest speaker for the parade will be Mr. Woodrow Blue, Chief of Police, Milledgeville Police Department.

The Mason Cup, an annual award named for Mr. and Mrs. Harold D. Mason, Sr. to support the GMC junior college golf program, will be presented during the parade. In addition,certificates for All-American honors will be presented.

The public is invited to attend.
