Georgia Military College (GMC) Prep School is excited to kick-off the 2017-2018 academic year with five new teachers. Prep School Principal, COL Pamela Grant, says these teachers are dedicated to making sure their students excel both inside and outside of the classroom.

“I am so excited about the new teachers who are joining our faculty,” said COL Pamela Grant. “We already have such a fabulous outstanding faculty and they just complete it with all of their gifts and talents. I know that with all of us working together we’re going to have the best year ever.”

This year’s new teachers are:

  • MAJ Paige Barlow- Middle and High School Visual Arts Director
  •  MAJ Suzanne Brooks- 7th grade Math Instructor
  • MAJ Logan Cook- 8th grade English Instructor
  • MAJ Nikki Grimes- 8th grade Physical Science Instructor
  • MAJ Todd Van Dine- JROTC Instructor/Raider Head Coach

MAJ Logan Cook is excited to begin his journey as an 8th grade English Instructor after being a student teacher at the Prep School for nearly a year. He says GMC’s environment made him feel at home.

“I’m looking forward to instilling character into the students and teaching them life skills that they can take with them,” said MAJ Logan Cook. “I think the most important thing is getting them ready for high school. As a student teacher, I spent some time here and got to know the culture. I felt like it was a great fit and I share the same values as the school.”

MAJ Suzanne Brooks is going into her 22nd year of teaching and she knows first-hand how valuable the education at GMC’s Prep School is for students.

“I’m looking forward to taking part in the traditions that GMC is so well-known for,” said MAJ Suzanne Brooks. “My son started at the Prep School in the 6th grade and he’s now an 8th grader here and I just knew that the education he got here was outstanding. I’m so thankful to be a part of this family now.”
