GMC Augusta student to join GMC football team

GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE AUGUSTA STUDENT TO JOIN MILLEDGEVILLE FOOTBALL TEAM

Jackson Drumgoole, a student at the Georgia Military College (GMC) campus in Augusta, has recently been asked to join the Milledgeville campus football team, a former NJCAA national championship team. He will be moving to Milledgeville in March to participate in spring ball.

Drumgoole has been playing football for eight years and is excited to see his hard work paying off.

“I was just elated to know all my hard work is paying off, and that if I want to continue to work hard and push myself then the sky is the limit for my future,” said Drumgoole.

The combine was held on February 21, 2015 and about 200 athletes were in attendance. Just two days later, Drumgoole received a call from Coach Coleman. The coach told him they were interested in him joining the team for spring camp.

When asked how he felt upon hearing the news from the coaches, he said, “I just thought to myself, I'm being handed this golden opportunity to do what I love to do and possibly get noticed, so let’s dig deep and take full advantage of it.”
