Georgia Military College and NewDay USA announce partnership
and break ground on NewDay USA Center for Leadership at Georgia Military College

On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, Georgia Military College and NewDay USA broke ground on a new facility, the NewDay USA Center for Leadership at Georgia Military College. The GMC Board of Trustees approved the center, and NewDay USA is the lead donor of the $11 million dollar project. This new center will provide all GMC, and in particular its preparatory students, an opportunity to participate in numerous servant leadership and performing arts activities.

“We are grateful and honored for the generosity of NewDay USA and the difference they are making in the lives of our students,” said Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell, IV (USA, Ret.), President of Georgia Military College. “Creating a Center for Leadership on our campus will have an enduring positive impact for our school for generations to come.”

The NewDay USA Center for Leadership at Georgia Military College will be a state-of-the-art facility to showcase world-renowned leaders to help develop those at Georgia Military College, and beyond. NewDay USA is the lead donor, with a gift of $2 million dollars to the project, which will be a singlestory, freestanding building encompassing approximately 28,937 square feet. It will include an 820-seat theater and several classrooms for GMC students. The center will house the NewDay USA Leadership Speaker Series, the NewDay USA Performing Arts Concert Series, and GMC Performing Arts.

“The NewDay USA Center for Leadership will become recognized as a place where world class leaders from public service, the military, business, sports, and the arts come together to share their experiences and ideas on leadership,” said NewDay USA Founder and CEO, Rob Posner. “Our partnership with GMC, its preparatory school, and their incredible faculty will contribute to developing our nation’s future generations of leaders.”

The NewDay USA Foundation is the philanthropic arm of NewDay USA. Since 2013, the Foundation has donated over $7 million dollars towards scholarships for veteran children. NewDay USA has partnered with GMC Prep School on various philanthropic activities since 2016. The NewDay Foundation has awarded 74 scholarships covering 100% of school tuition for students through the NewDay USA Allan B. Posner scholarship. 35 of the scholarships have been provided to GMC Prep School students. The NewDay USA scholarship is awarded to sons and daughters of Gold Star families, veterans who are 100 percent service-related disabled, and those that have served and been impacted by the Global War on Terror.

The NewDay USA Center for Leadership is expected to be complete by fall of 2022.
