Georgia Military College Launches Refined Mission Statement

Georgia Military College Launches Refined Mission Statement

Georgia Military College is proud to announce its refined Mission Statement that reflects the institution’s unwavering commitment to our core values and our dedication to fostering academic excellence, character development, and leadership within every student.

Our previous mission statement spoke more to the how of Georgia Military College instead of our why. We felt that to best convey who we are, it was important to isolate our key core values and reflect them prominently in our mission statement. We are still the same GMC we always have been and we are proud that our Mission Statement now more directly reflects our Legacy of Leadership.

Our mission statement serves as the guiding principle for every decision we make and every action we take as a preparatory school and college. It encapsulates the very essence of who we are and what we aspire to become. We are proud to present the refined mission statement that aligns with our vision for Georgia Military College’s continued focus on the growth and development of every students and their academic success:

Georgia Military College builds on our military heritage grounded in our core values of Duty, Honor, and love of Country to provide hope and opportunity through individual growth and education of our students to develop their intellect and character as authentic servant leaders in an environment focused on elevating civility and respect for others.

At Georgia Military College, we recognize that our students’ education extends beyond the classroom. We believe in providing a holistic learning experience that shapes them into well-rounded individuals who possess the qualities and values necessary to make a positive difference in the world as authentic servant leaders. By focusing on the intellectual, social, moral, and character-development aspects of their growth, we aim to prepare our students not just for success in their academic pursuits but also for a fulfilling life beyond our institution.

Our core values—Duty, Honor, and love of Country—form the foundation upon which we build our educational programs and cultivate a sense of purpose and character within our students. These values guide us in our interactions with one another, our commitment to academic rigor, and our dedication to instilling leadership qualities in every student who walks through our doors.

As we embrace this refined mission statement, we must remember that it is not just a collection of words but a promise we make to ourselves, our students, and the communities we serve. It is a commitment to providing a transformative education that prepares our students to meet the challenges of the future with confidence, compassion, and integrity.

We look forward to the future of Georgia Military College and GMC Preparatory School as we embrace our refined mission to continue developing authentic servant leaders.
