Percy has always been a very considerate young man to me and his actions were recently brought to my attention by one of the Junior College staff members. Today my Geometry classes were conducting an activity outside as part of their assignment. When it was time to return back to the classroom, Percy was the first student to the door and held it open for all the other students. He saw another staff member, Ms. Barbara Bridges, heading toward the building and remained there until she passed through as well. Ms. Bridges found me and pointed out Percy’s actions and said she was very encouraged to see that chivalry was not dead. The actions of this young man demonstrate the virtues of respect and consideration that we strive to instill in all of students and cadets. He is most deserving of this award.
