Alumni Weekend 2005 Events

MANY NEW EVENTS PLANNED FOR ALUMNI WEEKEND

(Milledgeville, Georgia) September 1, 2005 – Georgia Military College will host its Alumni Weekend on October 14 and 15 at the Milledgeville campus. With the theme, “Honor the Past, Celebrate the Future,” Alumni Weekend and reunion activities will allow alumni and friends of GMC the opportunity to enjoy fellowship with former classmates, reminisce about old times, and catch up on the great new things happening at GMC. Some of the weekend’s events include a golf tournament, several opportunities for tours of GMC’s campus and of historic Milledgeville, an alumni parade featuring the 127th Corps of Cadets and guest speaker, Mr. Powell A. Moore, HS1955, JC1957, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense, a tailgate party preceding the GMC vs. Aquinas Prep football game, an alumni awards ceremony with a jazz champagne brunch, the GMC vs. Nassau junior college football game, a piano concert by Moona Yu, and two alumni dances, one with ballroom dancing featuring the Bob Huellemeier Orchestra, and one featuring the band, Reunion.
