GMC Women’s Soccer GK Boohar No. 2 in NJCAA Saves

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Georgia Military College men’s and women’s soccer teams are entering their final month of the regular season and both teams have individuals represented in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national statistics.

Damieon Thomas (Orlando, Fla.) is tied for 24th in goals scored with nine while Panayoti Gotsis (Sydney, Australia) is 33rd with eight.

Gotsis is ranked No. 8 in assists with eight.

Both players are ranked in total points with Gotsis tied at No. 19 with 24 and Thomas tied at No. 25 with 23.

Goal keeper Susjed Garcia (Cali, Colombia) is ranked tied for 20th with 34 goals allowed and tied for 41st with 42 saves.

On the women’s side, goal keeper Rachel Boohar (Oxford, Pa.) is No. 2 in the nation with 131 saves, which is only one save behind the leader, Ashlie Rojas of Garden City Community College, at 132.
