The Citadel and GMC Sign Articulation Agreement

Georgia Military College and The Citadel Sign Articulation Agreement

In May of this year, The Citadel and Georgia Military College signed an Articulation Agreement that establishes a formal academic transfer mechanism between GMC and The Citadel. Its purpose is to promote and facilitate the transfer of academic credit for specified courses taken by students while enrolled at Georgia Military College who desire to enter into the baccalaureate degree program in Business Administration offered by The Citadel through the Baker School of Business, as part of the Citadel Graduate College.

“The Citadel’s Online BS in Business Administration Program is designed to provide support and flexibility for students who have completed their associate degree and are looking to continue onto the next level,” said Jeremy Bennett, Ph.D., Director of MBA and Undergraduate Completion Programs at The Citadel. “We are excited to partner with Georgia Military College in providing this exciting opportunity for their current and our future graduates.”

This agreement formally recognizes that The Citadel and Georgia Military College are committed to the establishment of an educational partnership to better serve currently enrolled and future students at both institutions, as well as, support economic development in the communities served by these educational institutions.

“Students studying business online receive the same high quality content from the same expert faculty as those attending the Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business in person on The Citadel campus,” said Michael Weeks, Ph.D., Dean of the Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business at The Citadel.

Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell, IV, President of Georgia Military College says this articulation agreement broadens the scope of opportunity for GMC students to continue their higher education.

“We are thrilled to launch this partnership with The Citadel to expand opportunities for GMC graduates to further their education,” said Caldwell. “An agreement such as this provides another excellent pathway toward completion of a Bachelor degree. This partnership with The Citadel is another step in providing greater opportunities and a brighter future for all citizens.”
