Student Enrollment Agreement

Georgia Military College is committed to providing students with educational opportunities. In order to provide educational opportunities, Georgia Military College incurs significant expenses on an annual basis. When students enroll to attend classes at Georgia Military College, they make a commitment to us. A student’s commitment to attend Georgia Military College entails accepting the responsibilities outline below:

Method of Communication

I understand Georgia Military College uses the GMC student email system as an official method of communication. I am responsible for reading the emails I receive from Georgia Military College on a timely basis.

I authorize Georgia Military College and its agents and contractors to contact me at my current and any future cellular phone number(s), email address (es) or wireless device(s) regarding my Georgia Military student account(s). I authorize Georgia Military College and its agents and contractors to use automated telephone dialing equipment, artificial or pre-recorded voice or text messages, and personal calls and emails, in their efforts to contact me. Furthermore, I understand I may withdraw my consent to call/text my cellular phone by submitting my request in writing to Georgia Military College or in writing to the applicable contractor or agent contacting me on behalf of Georgia Military College.

I understand and agree I am responsible for keeping Georgia Military College records up to date with my current physical address(es), email address(es), and phone number(s) by contacting the campus Registrar Assistant. Upon leaving Georgia Military College for any reason, it is my responsibility to provide Georgia Military College with updated contact information for purposes of continued communication regarding my student account with Georgia Military College.

Financial Obligation

My registration and acceptance of these terms constitutes a financial obligation in which Georgia Military College is providing me educational services, and I promise to pay for all assessed tuition, fees and other associated costs by the published or assigned due date. I understand when I register for any class at Georgia Military College or receive any service from Georgia Military College I accept full responsibility to pay all tuition, fees and other associated costs assessed as a result of my registration and/or receipt of services.

If I fail to pay my student account bill by the scheduled due date:

• Georgia Military College will place a financial hold on my student account, preventing me from registering for future classes, receiving an official transcript or diploma.
• If I fail to pay tuition and fee charges accessed to my account with Georgia Military College, the school may refer my delinquent account to a collection agency. I further understand I am responsible for paying the collection agency fee which may be based on a percent of my delinquent account up to 33.33333%, together with all costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, necessary for the collections of my delinquent account. Finally, I understand the collections agency will report my delinquent account to the national credit bureaus.

IRS Form 1098T:

I agree to provide my Social Security number (SSN) or taxpayer identification number(TIN) to Georgia Military College upon request as required by Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations for Form 1098-T reporting purposes. If I fail to provide my SSN or TIN to Georgia Military College, I agree to pay any and all fines assessed as a result of my missing SSN/TIN.

I consent to receive my annual IRS Form 1098T, Tuition Statement, electronically from Georgia Military College. I understand that I can withdraw this consent by following the instructions provided on the Georgia Military College’s 1098T website link.

Withdrawing From Classes

I understand and agree if I drop or withdraw from some or all of the classes for which I register, I will be responsible for paying all or a portion of tuition and fees in accordance with the published tuition refund schedule in the Georgia Military College catalog. I have read the terms and conditions of the published tuition refund schedule and understand those terms are incorporated herein by reference. I further understand my failure to attend class or receive a bill does not absolve me of my financial responsibility as described above.

I understand and accept all conditions of the Student Enrollment Agreement and my responsibilities to Georgia Military College for current and future term registration. I further understand it is my responsibility to follow the instructions referenced above to withdraw my consent.
