Milledgeville Campus Named to President’s Higher Education Community Service

The Corporation for National and Community Service has named the GMC-Milledgeville Campus as a 2014 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll award recipient in the General Community Service Category.  Each year, the President of the United States recognizes higher education institutions that reflect extraordinary and exemplary community service contributions.   This marks the second year in a row that the GMC-Milledgeville Campus has received this honor.  “It is part of the GMC culture to provide opportunities and assist those in need.  Our students, cadets and employees are always looking for ways to make others’ lives better in Milledgeville,” proclaimed Colonel Ralph Kauzlarich, Executive Director of the GMC-Milledgeville Campus.

GMC-Milledgeville Community Outreach Advisor, Celes Mason, states, “Our amazing student body, and their numerous volunteer hours, is the reason for this recognition. This award recognizes our institution, but we also honor students who demonstrate exceptional dedication to civic engagement by awarding them the Distinguished Order of the Servant Leader Award.”  GMC-Milledgeville is devoted to continuing its tradition of serving others next year.
