Maya Mapp Elected 4-H VP

Congratulations to GMC seventh grader Maya Mapp who was recently elected Vice President of the 4-H Northeast District Junior Board. Maya’s campaign included preparing signs, talking to peers, and delivering a campaign speech to a crowd of over 700 people.

Maya also won first place with her project demonstration on General Recreation. She used her experience as a GMC cheerleader for her portfolio; her demonstration, “Cheer ‘em On! Cheer ‘em On!,” focused on the importance of cheerleading to the school and the skills one must acquire to be successful.
