Junior College Golf Team Defeats Spartanburg Methodist

(Milledgeville, GA) April 7, 2004 – The GMC Junior College golf team defeated Spartanburg Methodist in a 27 hole match April 5th, at the Milledgeville Country Club, 477 to 488. For the Bulldogs the win
was significant in that GMC used only 4 players against a Division I team with 5 players and a solid golf reputation. Kyle Dickey led the GMC effort with a 78 on the first 18 holes and a 36 round for the nine. Scott Anthony shot 73 for 18 and 42 for the nine and Ballard Shearer came in at 79 and 42. Jay Hudson shot 86, 41. The team is preparing for the D-II Regional in Ft. Gaines, April 16, 17, 18 and Nationals in June.
