GMC’s Prep Mixed Raider team are state champions

GMC’s Prep Raider teams continue to dominate in the state. On Saturday, October 29, the teams competed against 24 schools in the Six Brigade State Raider Challenge Competition at Spalding High School in Griffin, Georgia.

GMC’s Prep School Mixed Raider team placed 1st overall and are the Georgia state champions. Of the five events, they placed 1st in Rope Bridge, 1st in Fitness Challenge, and 2nd in the Team Run out of 24 teams.

GMC’s Female Raider Team placed 4th in the state overall. They placed 1st in the Cross Country Rescue, 1st in the Fitness Challenge, and 5th and in the Team Run out of 16 teams.
GMC’s Male Raider Team placed 6th in the state overall. They placed 3rd in the Fitness Challenge, and 4th in the Rope Bridge out of 22 teams.
“It was an extremely competitive competition and all of our Raider Teams had an outstanding performance,” said 1SG Anton Jenkins, GMC Prep School Raider coach.
GMC’s Prep School Raider teams are now preparing to compete in the All Service and Army National Competition on November 4-5 in Molena, Georgia. GMC will send 2 male teams, 1 female team, and 1 mixed team to compete in the national competition.
