We have plans to provide extensions and support for those affected with the goal of completing the term. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we’ll be flexible and supportive as we move forward. For those who cannot make it to campus, GMC will make every effort to work with you individually. Additionally, we are closely monitoring the development and potential impact of Hurricane Milton. At this time, the storm’s path is being tracked carefully, and there is no immediate cause for alarm in our area. GMC-Zebulon Celebrates First-Year Anniversary

A message from Rock Donahue, Executive Director for Fayetteville-Fairburn-Stone Mountain-Zebulon

Happy Birthday TEAM Zebulon!

Today (03-19-19) marks your first-year anniversary as a campus and GMC’s newest extension center, and you can take great pride in how far you’ve progressed, especially in the growth of enrollments, enhanced student success, and community engagement/awareness.

You launched your inaugural 2018 Spring Term with 26 total students at 230 total credit hours, and entered the current 2019 Spring Term with 56 total students at 468 total credit hours; a 115% increase in total enrollments and 103% increase in total credit hours in your first year!  And looking ahead, you are well-postured to meet/exceed your FY20 credit hour mission of 2,320 total credit hours; a 14% increase from your current FY19 credit hour mission.  Moreover, in the past year you successfully established GMC-Zebulon as an engaged community partner and the city’s leading provider of character-based postsecondary education, and continue to strengthen your partnerships with at least eight (8) high schools and academies in Pike and surrounding counties.  Well Done!

Most importantly, through inspired leadership, academic excellence, and superior customer service, you made remarkable progress over the past year in accomplishing GMC’s mission in pursuit of Vision 2029 through a values-based academic center of excellence serving your community and equipping your college and career ready students for success in a competitive global society, ensuring they can START HERE and GO ANYWHERE!

Once again, Happy Birthday TEAM Zebulon!  I’m extremely proud to serve with you!
