GMC Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Admiral Farragut Academy
GMC and Admiral Farragut Academy Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Georgia Military College (GMC) and Admiral Farragut Academy (AFA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding that establishes a formal academic transfer mechanism between GMC and AFA. Its purpose is so that any student who graduates from AFA with a general, college preparatory or technical diploma is guaranteed admission into GMC provided that the student meets the agreement requirements.
This agreement formally recognizes that GMC and AFA are committed to the establishment of an educational partnership to better serve currently enrolled and future students at both institutions. Both parties agree to exercise due diligence in providing as smooth a transition as possible for students who elect to attend GMC following graduation from AFA.
Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell, IV, President of Georgia Military College, says this agreement provides a great opportunity for AFA graduates.
“We’re thrilled to partner with another institution in helping their graduates receive post-secondary education,” Caldwell said. “This agreement solidifies the importance of higher education so that Admiral Farragut Academy graduates can advance themselves to be successful in their chosen careers.”
The Memorandum of Understanding between GMC and AFA goes into effect immediately.
