GMC Places Third at Auburn Drill Meet

The Junior College Drill Team and Color Guard competed with eight other teams at the Auburn University Invitational Drill Meet on Saturday, January 24, 2009. Members of the team are: Joshua Bracelin, Cameron Hardin, Nicholas Dickens, Sam Lummus, Francia Flowers, Alan Schweitzer, Julie Good, Jeremy Lucas, James Hutson, Martha Esteban, Wendy Mazariegos, Giancarlo Blandino, Zachary Pitts, Jessie Biggs, Joshua Cotton, Larry Turner, Roschelle Hollis, Miguel Landeros, and Pancho Gonzales.

The Platoon Exhibition Drill Element took third place overall in the competition. COL Pat Beer, GMC Commandant, said, “This is a great accomplishment since we were the only junior college competing against four year universities such as Auburn, Tulane, North Georgia College and State University, and the University of South Carolina.”
