GMC hosts Rusty Kidd Appreciation Parade

(Representative Rusty Kidd was honored for his long and distinguished career as an elected official.) 

On Friday, December 9, Georgia Military College hosted its Rusty Kidd Appreciation Parade on Grant Parade. The parade was held in honor of Representative Rusty Kidd, Georgia General Assembly District 145. GMC paid tribute to his long and distinguished career as an elected official and for his dedicated support to Georgia Military College. Representative Kidd is voluntarily retiring from his distinguished political career.

Representative Kidd has represented the 145th District of the Georgia General Assembly since 2009. Governor Perdue appointed him as the Chairman of the Georgia Brain and Spinal Injury Trust Commission. He is also the past chairman of the Georgia Special Olympics. Representative Kidd is a financial supporter of countless organizations in Milledgeville and Baldwin County including various churches, the Boys & Girls Club, Georgia College & State University, the Chamber of Commerce, Fraternal Order of Police, Habitat for Humanity, the Sheriff’s Association, the Fire Department, the Partnership against domestic violence, the Baldwin County recreation department, the Oconee Greenway, and Georgia Military College.
