Free Tutoring

All GMC students have access to tutoring services at no charge to the student in order to support their learning.

Mission:

GMC Tutoring Centers serve as centers for learning assistance. The ultimate purpose of tutoring is to create independent learners and provide a support structure that allows students to gain self-confidence and independence in their academic work. This service supports GMC’s strategic initiative to “Contribute to Student Success,” so that these students can achieve graduation or transfer.

GMC provides tutoring services through the online tutoring platform, BrainFuse. BrainFuse is available to all GMC students regardless of course location or modality. BrainFuse is available to these students by accessing the link in their Canvas course shell. The basic architecture of all GMC courses includes the BrainFuse link, and for every course online, faculty promote tutoring during their pre-term checklist course setup. With this service, students have the opportunity to meet with a tutor individually or in group sessions for a variety of subjects. GMC operates in-person tutoring centers located at our two largest locations: Main Campus and GMC-Fairburn. These tutoring centers provide access to professional and peer tutors.
