Eighth Graders Visit Washington, DC

Georgia Military College Prep School eighth grade students recently visited Washington, D.C. Jalessia Clark, Sara Jordan McCollum, TJ O’Donnell, Malik Bradley, Shelby Giddens and Anna Tamayo presented the Colors at a Major League Baseball game between the Washington Nationals and the Colorado Rockies in Nationals Park. Chandler Pennington, Macie Lee, Delarion Milner and Lily Edmonson joined SSG Johnson, USA, to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Katie Bershadsky, Will Applebury, Jamarcus Jarrett and Vanna Ruth Stone laid wreaths, one in honor of former US Secretary of Labor W.J. Usery, Jr., and one in memory of former US Congressman Carl Vinson, at the United States Navy Memorial. Shelby Giddens, TJ O’Donnell, Malik Bradley, Sara Jordan McCollum and Jalessia Clark presented the Colors during the wreath laying ceremony.
