Del Webb Lake Oconee Veterans Club Present Scholarships to GMC Cadets
Georgia Military College hosted the Del Webb Lake Oconee Veterans Club on Friday, September 22, 2023, for a scholarship presentation that awarded five GMC Corps of Cadets members a $500.00 scholarship from the Del Webb Lake Oconee Veterans Club.
The following Cadets were selected based on their leadership potential, proven academic success and their strength in character.
Cadet Isabella Darby, Townsend, GA Cadet Darby is a first-year non-sponsored Service Academy Prep Scholar pursuing an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies and seeking an appointment to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. She is also a member of the GMC Glee, Math, and Biology clubs.
Cadet Christopher Baker, McDonough, GA Cadet Baker is a first-year non-sponsored Service Academy Prep Scholar pursuing an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies and seeking an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is also a member of the GMC Glee club and Rifle team.
Cadet Landon Simpson, Kathleen, GA Cadet Simpson is a first-year non-sponsored Service Academy Prep Scholar pursuing an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies and seeking an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy. He is also a member of the GMC Drill team.
Cadet Savannah Koback, Evans, GA Cadet Koback is a first-year non-sponsored Service Academy Prep Scholar pursuing an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies and seeking an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy. She is also a member of the Glee Club, Math Club, and Cross-Country Team.
Cadet Landen Moss, Monroe, GA Cadet Moss is a first-year non-sponsored Service Academy Prep Scholar pursuing an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies and seeking an appointment to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. He is also a member of the GMC Math and Wrestling club.
