C.A.R.E. Center Assists Special Olympics

Eight energetic Junior College commuter students assisted the GMC C.A.R.E. Center during the Baldwin County Special Olympics ceremony hosted at Baldwin High School. GMC students formed a line and enthusiastically cheered for each athlete as each participant walked or ran the 10, 25, and 100 meter event. The wonderful smiles on the every athlete’s face, as they crossed the finish line, were extremely exciting for our student volunteers as they observed these participants in each event. A big thank you to the following Junior College students for dedicating their time and energy and most importantly, the encouragement they provided, for these very special athletes: Tania Bello, Dixie Smarr, Crystal Ferguson, Latoria Winkfield, Cayla Brantely, Laura Zawadzki, Natalia Ellis, and Kylee Byrne.
