82nd Airborne Division’s All-American Chorus Visits Georgia Military College

For the past three years, Georgia Military College (GMC) has treated the community, faculty, staff, and students to a performance by the 82nd Airborne Division’s All-American Chorus. This year, the group visited the Milledgeville campus from Wednesday to Friday, putting on a public performance Thursday evening, and then two more performances for students, faculty, and staff on Friday.

As former Commanding General of the 82nd Airborne Division, Georgia Military College President, Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell IV, says having the All-American Chorus visit Milledgeville, Georgia, is always an incredible experience.

“The All-American Chorus did it again! They were fabulous and exceeded every expectation,” Caldwell said. “We do thank them so much for visiting with our community, our ROTC Cadets, our JROTC Cadets, and our staff and faculty. The Cadets from the College and the Prep School loved their performance! They went wild with enthusiasm and excitement during the shows which was great to watch.”

The Chorus performed a variety of songs from all different genres, and gave a special performance of Georgia Military College’s Alma Mater. After each performance, the chorus members shook hands with students and talked with them about life as a Paratrooper. Caldwell says it’s terrific that the students can interact with them gain some greater appreciation as to their responsibilities and service to our Nation.

“The professionalism and the appearance of each Paratrooper was commendable,” Caldwell said. “The Chorus were true Ambassadors for the 82nd Airborne Division and for our Army. All of the students, faculty, and staff in Milledgeville enjoyed having them here.”

Thank you to the 82nd Airborne Division’s All-American Chorus for visiting Georgia Military College!
