In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we know many students are facing tough challenges. Georgia Military College is here for you, and we are doing everything we can to ensure no one is left behind. We have plans to provide extensions and support for those affected with the goal of completing the term. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we’ll be flexible and supportive as we move forward. As Quarter 1 ends, we remain committed to your success, so please check here regularly for updates as we monitor recovery efforts. For those who cannot make it to campus, GMC will make every effort to work with you individually. Additionally, we are closely monitoring the development and potential impact of Hurricane Milton. At this time, the storm’s path is being tracked carefully, and there is no immediate cause for alarm in our area. However, we want to ensure that you are prepared and informed in case the situation changes. 1879 Circle of Friends

The charter members of Georgia Military College’s 1879 Circle of Friends were honored during a reception on August 24th. Mr. Scott Brown, 1879 Circle of Friends campaign chairman, said, “As of today, 138 charter members of this group have raised $15,538 towards our endowment goal of $25,000. Once a minimum of $25,000 is reached, the endowment can be utilized to award scholarships to GMC Prep School students who are the children or grandchildren of GMC alumni.” Earlene Hamilton, GMC Alumni Relations Coordinator, said, “Anyone can become a member of the 1879 Circle of Friends by donating $18.79 (the year GMC was founded), or more, annually or as often as desired. Donations can be made in memory or in honor of someone.” For more information, contact Earlene Hamilton, 445-2695 or ehamilto@gmc.cc.ga.us.
