Undergraduate Students
The Gwynedd-Mercy College Financial Aid Office strives to work in cooperation with each student to build a financial aid package that will ensure that all students may pursue their academic and personal goals. Approximately 90% of our full-time undergraduate student body receives some form of financial aid.

Our financial aid program is designed to provide financial aid assistance to qualified students whose resources are inadequate to meet the costs of attendance at the College. Financial aid is offered through a financial aid package which consists of some combination of scholarship, grant, loan and employment. The College endeavors to assist as many students as possible by utilizing College, federal, state, and other funds. Yellow Ribbon Program: Free Tuition for Vets

Students with veterans benefits can receive a fully paid education at Gwynedd-Mercy College.

Servicemembers who have served on active duty for 90 or more days since Sept. 10, 2001 can receive education benefits through the “Post 9/11 GI Bill,” which went into effect on August 1, 2009. Dependents and spouses of veterans may also be eligible for these benefits.

Candidates are encouraged to apply for the Bill, sending applications to the Department of Veterans Affairs. You can even apply online at http://www.gibill.va.gov/.

Once eligibility is determined by the VA, students who are enrolled at Gwynedd-Mercy College may receive the following from the VA:

  • Up to $886 per credit in tuition

  • College fees paid

  • Living stipend

  • Book money

Gwynedd-Mercy College has agreed to help cover the remaining tuition expenses for full-time students through the Yellow Ribbon Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to an unlimited number of students.

Tax Filing Tips for Students and Parents

The IRS provides some very helpful websites to help make the tax filing process easier and less complicated. Students and parents can learn about using tax software to take advantage of all the tax credits and deductions for which students and their families are entitled to reduce their tax liability to the fullest.

Gwynedd-Mercy College does not discriminate on the basis of race, age, national origin, religion, sex, or disability in the administration of its educational, admission, scholarship, or loan policies.
