Lowery awarded Eagle Scout of the Year

Cadet Seth Lowery was recently awarded Eagle Scout of the Year for the state of Georgia by the American Legion. Any American Legion Post in the state can submit a candidate, and Seth represented Morris-Little Post 6 of Milledgeville. It is a very competitive process which includes the opportunity to be named Eagle Scout of the Year for the entire United States. Seth just recently learned that he came in 4th in the United States. Scholarship money is awarded to the first three winners, but Seth is eligible to compete again next year. Seth is a member of Troop 87 that is sponsored by Morris-Little Post 6. He earned his Eagle Scout in 2010 and is the son of Dr. Chris and Shannon Lowery of Milledgeville. Congratulations Seth!
