Georgia Military College Receives Proceeds from 2017 Will Robinson Race
The Baldwin County Sherriff’s Office and organizers of the 22nd annual Will Robinson Race present proceed checks to representatives of The Georgia Military College Foundation and the GMC Alumni Association. Each year, participants run, walk & stroll their way through a one-mile Fun Run and a stimulating 5K course to honor the memory of one of Baldwin County’s finest, William E. Robinson, IV, killed in the line of duty on December 17, 1995.
Will was a proud GMC Preparatory School graduate of 1987. Upon his death, his family established a scholarship in his name to provide the GMC experience to future law enforcement families. True to Will’s character, the endowed scholarship has been a blessing to many families and will continue for years to come – keeping his memory alive the way Will would have wanted it…service to others.
The next Will Robinson Race will be held in the fall of this year.
