Funds for Hurricane Relief

GMC Junior College recently presented a check to Lowes for $2,785 for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The money, which will be matched by Lowes, was raised by Georgia Military College students, faculty and staff during the school’s fall community service campaign.

Lowe’s activated its in-store customer donation program on Monday, August 29 at all of its more than 1,125 stores nationwide, and will continue accepting donations throughout the month of September. Including Lowe’s match of up to $2 million, the company and its customers have raised more than $5 million for Red Cross disaster relief.
