School of Nursing Master of Science Degree The Master of Science program prepares professional nurses for advanced practice as either a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and serves as a base for doctoral study. The 43-credit CNS program offers concentrations in: pediatrics, gerontology and oncology with preparation as managers or teachers of nursing.
