Program Benefits
Students will be able to use this degree as a foundation for further studies in the field of psychology or as a foundation for a liberal arts education. While earning an associate degree in psychology may make someone more marketable for some entry-level positions, a bachelor’s degree is the minimum degree requirement for most psychology-related jobs. Psychology-related jobs for the bachelor’s designation include jobs in education, the criminal justice system, social services, and business. Counseling-related and research-related jobs generally require a master’s or doctoral degree. Psychology has many areas within it that students could pursue with further education, such as social psychology, industrial organizational psychology, physiological psychology, cognitive psychology, clinical psychology, forensic psychology, health psychology, sports psychology, social psychology, and developmental psychology.
