Sandersville Graduation Information
Congratulations! Celebrations are in order!
Here are a few important facts about your upcoming 2021 Graduation Ceremony:
Costs: There are NO fees assessed to participate. You have only to secure your cap and gown (tassel, etc.), click on the picture above.
Date and time of commencement: 21 May 2021
Students arrive by 3PM/ Rehearsal at 3:15
Ceremony begins at 4PM
Location of the rehearsal and ceremony:
Word of Life Church

Sandersville, GA 31082
Length of the ceremony: The actual ceremony should take approximately 60 minutes.
Keynote Speaker: Leah Clark, alumnus and principal of Ridge Road Elementary School
Applying for your degree: You must apply for your degree no later than 1 April. Remember, you must pass the classes you need to graduate to be eligible for participation. When confirming graduation attendance, please identify if you are a military veteran or a Legacy graduate (you have other immediate family who are graduates from GMC).
Cap and gown: Order cap, gown, tassel and stole online by clicking on the Josten's graphic above by April 15th. A packet with recognition cords will be provided at graduation for those who meet qualifications.
Your Diploma: You do not receive your diploma at graduation. You should receive your actual diploma approximately 4-6 weeks after you have completed all degree requirements. If you already have your diploma, please leave it at home.
Graduation announcements: Will be available to you at NO cost in the bookstore at a date to be determined.
Pictures: There will be a photographer to take a graduating class photo as well as individual photos. Individual photos will be taken at the Sandersville Campus, 415 Industrial Drive on 19 April 2021. The class photo will be taken the morning of graduation and we plan to have pictures and a live stream of the ceremony available.
Campus Store and Memorabilia: The Campus Store will set up a table at graduation so graduates and family members can purchase GMC and related alumni items. Please plan ahead to bring cash or credit cards to save time in line.
3 x 5 cards: When you arrive at the ceremony, you will receive a 3 x 5 card with your name, degree and honors listed. You will hand it to the academic dean, who will announce your name just prior to walking across the stage.
