GMC-Augusta hosts "Souper Bowl" of caring

(Students, staff, and faculty stand in line sampling various soups and waiting for their delicious meals.)

On February 1, GMC-Augusta hosted a “Souper Bowl” of Caring event to raise money for our scholarship fund. Ranging from chilies, to chowders, to stews, our students, staff, and faculty all came together to make 13 different soups to sell. Not only is this a fun way to raise money, but it is also a great way for everyone to see what their colleagues and peers are able to cook!

Meals were sold for $3 each, which included a bowl of soup, cornbread, and a drink. We also sold meal refills for only $2! Wearing our favorite teams’ jerseys, our Dean of Students, staff, faculty, and work studies all came together to raise a total of $301 for the scholarship fund.
