Georgia Military College Phi Beta Lambda Chapter Member Earns First Place

The Georgia Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) organization recently awarded GMC’s Nate Scarbary first place for his business essay on “Analyzing the Economic Impact of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)” at the 2015 Georgia Career and Leadership Development Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia in November.  Mr. Scarbary is a sophomore studying Computer Information Systems at GMC and plans to enter the Bachelor of Applied Science Business Management degree program offered at GMC in the Fall 2016.  Mr. Sam Lester presented the award to Nate at the Georgia PBL South District Meeting on February 19, 2016. 

PBL is the college level organization of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).  PBL offers activities that build personal and professional skills, including unique career-development programs and a variety of conferences and workshops that include competitive events with other business/computer students from around the state and the nation.  The mission of the organization is to “bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.”  It is the largest business career student organization in the world.
