GMC Men’s Cross Country Places First At CGTC Titans Invitational

MACON, Ga. – The Georgia Military College men’s cross country team placed five runners in the individual top 20 as the Bulldogs captured a first-place team finish in the Central Georgia Technical College Titans Invitational here Saturday morning.

Chauncei Davis (Milledgeville, Ga.) led the way with an eighth-place finish in a time of 30:09 over the 8K course.

Dakota Hayden (Griffin, Ga.) came in 14th with a time of 31:03 and he was followed by Nicholas Squall (Stockbridge, Ga.) in 15th with a time of 31:20, Joshua York (Dallas, Ga.) in 18th with a time of 33:19 and Anthony Burgess (Fayetteville, Ga.) in 20th with a time of 34:06.

Nathan Crutchfield (Woodstock, Ga.) ran well and crossed the finish line in 22nd with a time of 35:30.

The GMC women had two runners finished in the top 10 in the 5K race as Ashley Young (Augusta, Ga.) finished in 7th (24:18) and Nina Skinner (Palmetto, Fla.) was 10th (24:42), but did not place as a team with just four runners entered.

Both GMC teams will be competing in Orlando at Disney’s Wide World of Sports on October 11.
