Georgia Military College Announces Appointment of Jill Robbins as Vice President of Human Resources

(September 29, 2014) Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell, IV, President of Georgia Military College is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill Robbins to the position of Vice President of Human Resources effective October 1, 2014. Ms. Robbins currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Human Resources for the College.

As Vice President of Human Resources, Ms. Robbins will be responsible for directing all of the personnel functions of the College in accordance with the policies and practices set forth by Georgia Military College and its’ senior leadership team. She will be directly responsible for the overall administration, management, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resources Department (which includes payroll and staff recruiting) for the College’s multi-campus organization.

Lieutenant General Caldwell stated he is very pleased to have Ms. Robbins lead the Office of Human Relations. “Jill Robbins is the epitome of a professional.  We are blessed to have her on our team, and now assuming a key position as a Vice President.  She is a tireless worker that selflessly serves everyone in our college.  We are thrilled she accepted this position.” 

Ms. Robbins says that she is excited for the opportunity to lead the Human Resources Department as the College continues to grow. “General Caldwell has presented the workforce with ‘Four Big Ideas’ as a focal point for goals and objectives. It is the job of our Human Resources team to support the President and his initiatives by recruiting top talent to the organization, retaining our top performers by offering a competitive benefits package and family centered work environment, and continuing to be the employer of choice in all markets in which we operate. Ultimately this will create an environment to best serve the students that attend our institution.”

Prior to joining GMC in 2009, Ms. Robbins was an executive recruiter in the Atlanta metro area for four years before transitioning into sales in the banking and finance industry. She then relocated to Milledgeville, Georgia and resumed working in the field of human resources at GMC as the College’s point of contact for recruiting, benefits, risk management, and employee relations. She graduated in 2000 from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science. Jill and her husband, Shane, reside in Milledgeville with their son, Keith, and daughter, Carly who both plan to attend the GMC Prep School when they enter the 6th grade.
