GMC Men’s Soccer Blanks Thomas University (Ga.) JV 3-0

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia Military College’s men’s soccer team scored two early goals and then pulled away for a 3-0 win over previously undefeated Thomas University (Ga.) junior varsity Friday night at Robertson Field.

GMC, which had not played since September 10, improved to 4-3 overall with the three-goal win.

Damieon Thomas (Orlando, Fla.) and Aaron Ayala (Douglasville, Ga.) each scored in the first 23 minutes to give GMC a 2-0 advantage.

GMC added its third goal with just 14 minutes remaining in the game when Thomas got his second goal of the night.

Thomas University had allowed just two goals all season coming into the game.

Panayoti Gotsis (Sydney, Australia) had two assists and Thomas also finished the game with an assist for the Bulldogs.

Susjed Garcia (Cali, Colombia) had three saves and got the shutout victory in goal as GMC won its second straight game.

GMC and Thomas JV (5-1) will square off again on Wednesday in Thomasville at 6 p.m.
