Federal Work-Study jobs are available on your campus

Georgia Military College (GMC) has Federal Work-Study jobs available on your campus. The Federal Work-Study (FWS) program is a federally funded program that provides part-time jobs to eligible students who are enrolled in college. FWS jobs are located on-campus and many include community service opportunities within the local community. A limited number of FWS jobs are available each quarter of the GMC academic year and work schedules can be planned around the student's class schedule. At Georgia Military College, Federal Work-Study students may find jobs in the campus bookstore, mailroom, business office, library, or various other GMC departments. FWS students who perform community service as part of their job responsibility may be asked to participate in tutoring programs for elementary school students, mentoring programs for school age children, or may be given an opportunity to perform some other form of community service. If you are interested in applying for a Federal Work-Study position at Georgia Military College you should complete the “Application for Federal Work-Study”, available on the GMC website in the Financial Aid Forms section or follow this Internet link to find the application at http://files.gmc.cc.ga.us/file_lib/52353010-11%20FWS%20Application.pdf. Although jobs are available, you should act quickly to apply for your preferred job. A Federal Work-Study position can be an important entry in your résumé. It may demonstrate to future employers that you have a strong work ethic and time management skills that are valued in today’s job market.
