President's Parade

Georgia Military College offers a unique combination of academic, military and character education to students at the levels of sixth grade through the second year of college. Those who began Georgia Military College for the first time this fall were officially welcomed into the Regiment, during the President’s Parade, Sunday, October 31, 2:00 PM, on Grant Parade. GMC crests were pinned onto the new cadets’ uniforms by a family member or close friend signifying they were officially members of the 132nd Corps of Cadets. The following students were awarded the Distinguished Order of the Servant Leader which recognizes character excellence for those members of the GMC family who volunteer at least 100 hours of community service in one year: Haylee Chambers, Blair Hall, Audrey Harris, Bronte Joseph, Amelia Lawson, DeMahrea Rivers, Spencer Tyson, and Donny O’Bryant. Company A of the 1st Battalion (c/CPT Danny Padron) was selected best company in the President’s Inspection and Cadet Cameron Phillips of Company B, 1st Battalion was selected as Best Cadet by the President. Former GMC Tactical Officers CSM Steve Stoner and CSM Calvin Hill received sabers in recognition of their retirement from GMC and to honor their years of service to the school.
