Students Honored During Academic Honors Parade

Georgia Military College places great emphasis on helping our students become men and women of extraordinary character. To this end, constant focus is placed on the civic, physical, and academic development of our cadets. On April 23, we honored those young men and women of the 131st Corps of Cadets who have shown outstanding merit in the area of academics. Honorees included junior college cadets named to the President’s List and Dean’s List and prep school cadets named to the Principal’s List and Honor Roll. The Distinguished Order of the Servant Leader Awards is presented to anyone in the GMC family that completes 100 hours of community service in honored with this special award during the parade. Lt. Jackie Lee, GMC Assistant Chief of Police, was presented with the President’s Coin of Excellence for her role in bringing down an entire theft ring which had stolen a cadet’s vehicle from campus. Dr. Sandra J. Jordan, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs for Georgia College & State University, was the guest speaker.
