Jacob Russell - (CotW) Altruism

Georgia Military College Prep School recognizes Jacob Russell for earning the Character of the Week Award in demonstrating the virtue of Altruism. “I would like to nominate Jacob Russell for Character of the Week on behalf of Rev. Donald Caron of Milledgeville. Reverend Caron’s home was burglarized a few days ago. During the confusion while the Reverend was trying to gather his thoughts, a young man pulled up and introduced himself and his mother. Jacob explained that he had driven by earlier and noticed some young men lurking about the area. He gave the officers a detailed description of the men and the vehicle. Reverend Caron went on to say how mature Jacob was and how comforting during a terrible time and how much he appreciated the character demonstrated by Cadet Russell that day. Reverend Caron wrote a letter to General Boylan showing his appreciation, but I wanted to let others know that doing the right thing never goes out of style. I am proud of Jacob.” Nominated on February 22, 2010 by COL John Thornton Principal Georgia Military College Prep School
