Abby Giddens and Christina Hooper - RESPONSIBILITY

Georgia Military College Prep School recognizes Abby Giddens and Christina Hooper for earning the Character of the Week Award in demonstrating the virtue of RESPONSIBILITY. Basketball season is a rigorous time of year, and all basketball players and cheerleaders should be recognized for their efforts, but today I would like to highlight the responsibility of two of my varsity cheerleaders. Between games, game changes, practices, practice changes, and spirit requirements (posters, goody bags, etc.) there is a lot going on. I often will tell my cheerleaders at the last minute of a change or responsibility or will only tell them once and expect them to remember. This often gets lost in translation. As we all know, life can be hectic and many things slip through the cracks, but Christina and Abby are both cheerleaders I can count on. Just last week I told the cheerleaders before a game that they were to decorate a poster for spirit week and hang it by 8:00 am Monday morning. Without being reminded, both Christina’s and Abby’s posters were on the wall by 8:00 am. This is just one example of how these girls show responsibility and dependability each day.
